About the Role
In-house opportunity with leading European PE Firm.
This firm seeks a Tax Senior Manager to oversee UK tax compliance matters for its UK holdings. The role encompasses coordination with UK entities and external advisors, ensuring compliance across multiple aspects of UK tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and liaise with external advisors managing tax returns for UK holding entities.
- Coordinate tax group compliance for UK entities, ensuring proper group relief allocation and compliance with Senior Accounting Officer filings.
- Ensure timely filing of corporate interest restrictions, country-by-country notifications, and adherence to annual investment allowance thresholds.
- Oversee the UK tax strategy publication and manage communication regarding associated entity numbers within the group.
- Facilitate the filing of employment-related securities returns and manage short-term business visitor compliance.
- Collaborate with internal HR and finance teams for various tax processes, including withholding tax clearances.
- Act as the main point of contact for UK-related tax matters within the group.
- Provide support for broader group-wide tax initiatives, such as transfer pricing and contract implementation.
- Optional: Contribute to the development and implementation of tax strategies for national and international restructuring, and support M&A transactions.
Qualifications:
- University degree in economics, law, or relevant business experience.
- Minimum of 7 years in a tax consulting role or within a multinational tax department.
- Certification as a tax consultant or qualified accountant (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA).
- Strong analytical and strategic skills, with a focus on results and teamwork.
- Knowledge of US tax regulations is an advantage but not required.
- Fluency in English; additional languages, especially German, are an asset.
