Role Overview:

The position focuses on delivering expert tax guidance across a range of corporate transactions and real estate projects. The team blends analytical precision with a commercial mindset, assisting on various aspects of corporate transactions such as VAT, Stamp Duty, and SDLT planning. Comprising both tax lawyers and chartered tax advisors, the team offers practical solutions to a diverse client base, including owner-managed businesses, private equity firms, real estate investments, and funds. Key responsibilities involve advising on exit strategies, offshore structuring, group companies, and employment tax planning, including handling redundancy cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing in-depth tax advice on mergers, acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and reorganisation
  • Guiding clients on matters related to SDLT, VAT, and employment taxes
  • Offering practical, solutions-focused advice on a broad range of tax issues
  • Bringing analytical and commercial insights to support the team’s work on corporate transactions
  • Collaborating with a team of tax lawyers and chartered tax advisors to create comprehensive tax solutions
  • Assisting with planning around exit strategies, offshore structures, and remuneration schemes

Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 2 years of post-qualification experience as a specialist tax solicitor
  • Proven track record in advising on tax aspects of corporate transactions
  • In-depth knowledge of SDLT, VAT, and employment-related taxes
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a commercial outlook
  • Ability to deliver practical, clear, and effective tax advice
