A leading firm is seeking a talented Corporate Tax Associate to become a valuable part of their expert team. This position offers a dynamic work setting with significant opportunities for professional growth and skill enhancement.

Position Overview:

This role is centered around providing specialised tax advice for a wide range of corporate transactions and real estate projects. The team seamlessly combines analytical expertise with a business-oriented approach, offering support on various corporate tax matters including VAT, Stamp Duty, and SDLT planning. Comprised of both tax lawyers and chartered tax advisors, the team delivers practical solutions to a diverse clientele such as owner-managed businesses, private equity firms, real estate investors, and funds. Core responsibilities include advising on exit strategies, offshore structuring, corporate group arrangements, and employment tax planning, including handling redundancy scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering comprehensive tax advice on mergers, acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and reorganisation projects
  • Advising clients on SDLT, VAT, and employment tax-related issues
  • Providing clear, solutions-driven guidance on a variety of tax matters
  • Applying analytical and commercial insights to support tax planning for corporate transactions
  • Working closely with a team of tax lawyers and chartered tax advisors to deliver holistic tax strategies
  • Assisting in planning for exit strategies, offshore arrangements, and remuneration schemes

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience as a specialist tax solicitor
  • Demonstrated success in advising on tax elements of corporate transactions
  • Strong knowledge of SDLT, VAT, and employment-related taxes
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a commercial perspective
  • Proven ability to provide practical, concise, and effective tax advice
