About the Role

Opportunity in a Boutique firm.

This firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Corporate Tax Manager to support its growth objectives by managing a diverse portfolio of corporate tax clients, with a strong emphasis on advisory work.

Role Overview

The advisory component of this role will encompass various complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), tax due diligence, share option schemes, corporate restructurings, and succession planning. Key areas of focus will include exit strategies such as company buybacks, capital reductions, and management buyouts (MBOs).

Additionally, the successful candidate will oversee technical compliance reviews of corporation tax computations prepared by the team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. This is an independent role that offers the opportunity to manage projects, increase fee revenue, identify business development opportunities, and oversee billing processes.

While the primary focus is on corporate tax matters, it would be beneficial if the candidate possesses knowledge or experience in personal tax, VAT, or Stamp Duty/Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT).

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Holds a relevant professional qualification (ATT, CTA, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrates extensive technical knowledge and experience in corporate tax.
  • Exhibits strong client management skills, including proficiency in both written and oral communication.
  • Able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Capable of independently managing projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Self-driven, highly organised, and detail-oriented, with excellent numerical skills.
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
