This firm seeks a dynamic Tax Director to lead and expand the tax consultancy services. The ideal candidate will provide expert tax advice, maximise client profitability, and develop their private client and trust offerings.
The Tax Director will oversee compliance work, offer technical support across departments, and proactively introduce new initiatives to clients. This role requires a strategic focus on practice development, including identifying new business opportunities, meeting marketing targets, and nurturing professional networks to generate leads.
Key responsibilities include managing the office tax function, mentoring tax managers, and contributing to the firm's overall growth. The successful candidate will be accountable for achieving new client targets and ensuring the team's effectiveness through performance management and strategic staffing decisions.
Qualifications include chartered or certified accountant status, or membership in a recognised taxation institute. The ideal candidate will possess up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, exceptional people management skills, and commercial acumen. Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation abilities are essential, as are proficiency in problem-solving, decision-making, and presentation skills.
