About the Role
Opportunity in a Big 4 firm.
This firm is seeking a highly qualified professional to join its expanding Indirect Tax team in London. This position offers the opportunity to advise clients across all areas of indirect taxation, including VAT, Customs duties, Excise duties, and Environmental taxes, within a rapidly evolving industry. The role involves supporting a diverse range of businesses in navigating the complex landscape of indirect taxes, addressing both current challenges and future opportunities within the sector.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the transformation of the Energy sector, assisting clients as they increasingly focus on sustainable and digitally enabled operations, low-carbon energy generation, battery storage, and the transition to renewable energy sources. This work will also encompass traditional energy, power, and resource sectors.

Role Overview
As a Senior Manager, you will lead the delivery of indirect tax advisory projects, collaborating with colleagues across the globe and within various tax and advisory service lines to execute large-scale projects, M&A activities, and restructuring transactions. You will have the opportunity to develop your career, enhance your global indirect tax expertise, and tackle complex, challenging assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage effective teams to deliver high-quality client advisory services.
- Oversee client delivery, ensuring technical excellence and a business-focused approach.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, contributing to both strategic and operational team management.
- Collaborate with other teams within the firm to offer comprehensive client solutions.
- Drive the growth of the indirect tax energy business within the firm.
Client Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong tax relationships with clients, providing exceptional service.
- Identify and convert business development opportunities.
- Ensure the quality of client service and manage client expectations.
- Develop and maintain internal and external networks, managing relationships to maximise value for both clients and the firm.

Qualifications and Experience
- 8+ years of experience in UK indirect tax advisory, preferably within the Energy sector.
- ACA/ACCA/CA qualification or equivalent, with a strong professional services background.
- Demonstrated ability in business development and client relationship management.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a commitment to technical knowledge development.
