About the Role
Opportunity in a Big 4 firm.
Due to substantial growth following several high-profile client acquisitions, this firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Corporate Tax Senior Manager for its London office. This role provides an opportunity to work with some of the largest and most dynamic clients in the market, supporting them in navigating an increasingly intricate tax landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain relationships with both existing and new clients.
- Oversee the high-level management of technically complex audit, compliance, and reporting engagements, as well as related consulting projects.
- Ensure exceptional client service with a focus on quality.
- Collaborate effectively with other tax specialist teams.
- Expand networks and relationships within the firm.
- Facilitate the development of staff through supervision, coaching, and mentoring.
- Lead team initiatives, encompassing all aspects of successful team leadership.
Skills and Attributes for Success:
- Expertise in Corporate Tax from either a practice or in-house tax background.
- Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills, with the ability to maintain opinions and manage stakeholders effectively.
- Proficient in business development, capable of identifying and converting opportunities into work.
- Effective time management skills, maintaining composure under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, across various situations.
- A collaborative team player with the ability to build and sustain effective teams.
- Experience in coaching and developing junior staff.
- Commitment to delivering quality work.
Essential Qualifications:
- ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA (or international equivalent qualification).
- Degree qualified.
- Extensive experience as a corporate tax practitioner.
- Background in tax accounting/tax audit.
- Proven ability to interpret existing and new tax legislation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines, and monitor budgets.
