Opportunity in an Independent Law firm.

This firm seeks a dedicated Corporate Tax and Incentives Senior Associate to deliver top-tier advisory services, ensuring the highest standards of quality in all client engagements. The successful candidate will be expected to develop sector-specific expertise and establish themselves as a trusted business advisor.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating closely with Partners, managing a personal caseload of corporate tax and incentives matters.
  • Leading incentive projects with appropriate Partner oversight and fostering both internal and external client relationships.
  • Actively participating in business development initiatives, with support to take ownership of growing specific areas of the practice.
  • Guiding and mentoring newly qualified Associates and Trainees, helping them to realise their potential within the team.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) with a broad knowledge of UK Corporation Tax, Income Tax, VAT, and Stamp Duty Land Tax, ideally with 4-8 years of PQE, though other experience levels will be considered.
  • Proactive, with strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to deliver clear and concise legal and tax advice while considering the client's commercial goals.
  • Commercially aware, with some experience in business development, and adept at building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Committed to understanding client needs and acting in their best interests, as well as that of the firm.
  • Motivated to contribute to a collaborative culture and mentor junior team members.
