About the Role
Opportunity in a Top 20 firm.
This firm is seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to join their dynamic Tax team. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely delivery of corporation tax compliance and tax accounting services to our clients across all locations. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in corporate tax compliance and advisory services, as well as exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively manage and control the delivery of all aspects of assignments for a variety of clients, including resourcing, setting timescales and budgets, liaising between departments, and presenting work to clients
Develop in-depth technical expertise and conduct detailed research as required, presenting findings clearly in client meetings or written form, and offering practical solutions and recommendations with due regard for risk
Ensure the timely delivery of advisory and compliance services to your clients
Provide line management oversight of junior staff, including monitoring progress, providing guidance and feedback, and effectively delegating work
Enforce the firm's procedures and culture in relation to feedback, accountability, and coaching
Identify areas for improvement in the technology-enabled corporation tax compliance process and procedures across the organization
Manage key performance indicators for yourself and your team
Play an active role in the sustainability, development, and growth of the firm
Act as a primary contact for colleagues, clients, their professional teams, and your own business network, creating and obtaining referrals for work
Promote the business in the marketplace, seeking new opportunities for the firm and securing new work, with the support of the business development team
Serve as an ambassador for the firm, taking opportunities for networking and client entertainment events
Identify and address risk exposure, look for efficiencies, improve procedures, propose recommendations and solutions, and take a leading role in implementing change
Demonstrate strong commercial awareness
Qualifications and Experience:
CA, or equivalent, ATT or CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA)
Proven track record of delivering high-quality tax advice to clients in a professional and proactive manner
Strong focus on compliance and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
Previous line management experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
