Assistant Manager, R&D Tax

An exceptional opportunity is available with the Innovation team for an R&D Incentives/Innovation Assistant Manager specialising in software/IT R&D tax claims. This role offers true flexibility, allowing you to work from their London office or remotely if you reside further afield.

The Innovation team, operates like a close-knit family, ensuring mutual support and the creation of a lasting, high-performance unit. The team is composed of individuals with diverse backgrounds, including engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, IT, and even astrophysics.

Their services include supporting clients with R&D tax incentives and Patent Box relief, and collaborating with a network of advisors such as grant providers, patent attorneys, and private equity firms.

They seek a candidate with expertise in software/IT R&D tax claims to join our team. The role involves:

• Assisting R&D Delivery Leads with software/IT claims, ensuring tasks are completed promptly and accurately
• Taking notes, capturing actions, and contributing to client workshops
• Drafting CP Innovation reports and technical project descriptions
• Performing costing calculations
• Managing a small portfolio of IT/software claims, delivering high-quality work
• Supporting senior team members in practice development initiatives, including training, wellbeing, and marketing. A comprehensive understanding of the Innovation business is essential, as future leadership opportunities may arise.
